Can I create custom spending categories?

Yes. On the Expenses page, click any transaction's category pill and you'll see the dropdown with all default categories. At the top there's a "Create new category" option — type whatever you want (Wedding, Side Hustle, Baby, Pet, etc.). The new category immediately appears everywhere: Expenses, Income, Budget setup, and the category filter pills. You can also set up a budget for your custom category.
