What are Transaction Rules?

Transaction Rules let you automate how your transactions are handled. Go to Transaction Rules in the sidebar (bottom). You can create four types of rules: Categorize (always put QuikTrip under Transportation), Exclude (don't count certain transfers in your savings rate), Rename (clean up ugly bank descriptions), and Transfer (mark credit card payments as transfers so they don't inflate your expenses). Rules run automatically on every new transaction from Plaid.
