I just hit $100k in my 401k at 30

Started contributing at 23 with just 6%. Bumped it 1% every year. With employer match and market gains, just crossed $100k. The first $100k is the hardest — it took 7 years. The second $100k should take about 3-4 years with compounding.

Congrats! The 1% bump per year strategy is underrated. You barely feel each increase but it adds up massively over time.
